One Blog- Two Bloggers

Two of us from the Groundswell cohousing Marketing and Membership Team share the blog. We can’t help ourselves, wanting to share our enthusiasm for this place with the world! I'm Ann and I’d like to introduce you to my very special blog-companion, Beverly.
Beverly and her family are neighbours to the west right now, and when duplex 1/2 is finished, they’ll be neighbours to the east. Beverly is an honour to her profession of teaching; no question to her is ever silly, and no answer from her is ever difficult. Her two boys bloom with her nurturing. Her smile is as ready as her offer of tea (earl grey, don’t you know!)

Beverly is more on the ‘marketing’ side of our Team at Groundswell . ‘Marketing’ really means dying of curiosity to find out who all our neighbours will be, and making sure there are easy, apparent ways for them to come and find us! And she is also the voice on our Facebook page. We’re a ‘cookin’ team when we’re together – and Beverly’s energy and sense of fun takes any hint of the onerous out of a project. “Let’s do it!” she grins.
Yes, let’s!
As well, Beverly is on the Development Coordinating Team ( Coco), which keeps a consistent eye and a steady hand on the management of our growing village – the building aspects. Beverly asks the sensible questions you or I would ask, if we knew to, and wanted the practical details of how we’re building our own village – collecting new buyers in groups that will finance the next building, overseeing the phasing of our waste water treatment system, planning the future common house, getting an overview of the landscaping , and more... Beverly, among other Coco teams members, brings questions to our Community Meetings, like- What would we like our strata fees cover? Would we rather pay off a mortgage, or get cracking with the common house?
And so gentle reader, when you see a posting with Beverly’s name on it, you’ve got to know she’s grinning as she’s writing, her tea is hot by the side, and she’s dying to meet you!
